Oral
Diagnosis

Oral Diagnosis and Radiology Clinic is the clinic where we first welcome our patients. It is a clinic that diagnoses oral, dental and mucosal diseases by using auxiliary examination methods, prepares the most appropriate treatment plan for the improvement of these tissues, and directs patients to the specialties where their treatment will be performed.

Our patients who come to our center are examined by our oral diagnosis physician in the oral diagnosis clinic before starting their treatment in line with their complaints. If necessary, they are directed to the radiology clinic to have their radiographs taken and their special treatment plan is prepared in the most detailed way.

We bring you beautiful and healthy smiles with the best and appropriate treatment.

What is required
For a good examination?

In the first stage of the examination, patients are asked if they have any problems with their general health or whether they have a disease that requires them to be constantly under the control of a doctor. It is very important for the dentist to take the necessary precautions against the complications that may arise during the dental treatment of our patients. The applications to be made during the treatments and the selection of the drugs to be used are arranged in accordance with the health of our patients, in line with this information obtained during the examination.

In the second stage of the examination, necessary radiographs are requested from our patients. After the radiological examination is completed by our oral diagnosis physician, the best treatment plan suitable for the patient is determined. The different alternatives, advantages and disadvantages related to this treatment plan that can be prepared for our patients are explained in detail.

Treatments started without a good examination and treatment plan will not only fail, but also may not be long-lasting and may cause loss of health, time and economy for the patient.

In our center, extraoral and intraoral examinations of our patients are carried out using the necessary technology for diagnosis.
The patient is informed about the treatment plan created as a result of these examinations, and the patient is asked to sign the "General Information and Consent Form". Our patients who sign this form are directed to the relevant clinics.

Treatment
Process

1- Digital Panoramic X-Ray

It is a type of x-ray in which all teeth and jawbone are viewed together using less rays. It is especially used in general oral examination for control purposes, simple surgical procedures such as impacted tooth extraction, resection, small cysts or application of a small number of implants. Being digital increases the image quality and significantly reduces the amount of radiation received by the person.

2- Digital Radiographs (RVG)

Caries and root canal problems that cannot be noticed on examination can be easily detected with the help of x-rays. Images can be viewed instantly on the computer screen and desired color adjustments, enlargement-reduction operations and measurements can be made on them. Images can be stored in the patient file in the computer environment and shared on the internet when necessary. The radiation exposure of the patient has also decreased significantly.

3- Computerized Tomography (CT, CT)

In this method, cross-sections can also be taken from the mouth area, and thus, the neighborhood of the teeth or pathological formations with the surrounding tissues can be examined in all 3 planes. It is a radiological diagnosis method that provides cross-sectional examination of the desired region using X-ray. In cases where large cysts, tumors and multiple implant applications are planned, the bone thickness in the horizontal direction, the positions of the sinus cavities and the path followed by the vessels and nerves can be determined precisely. In this way, the risk of surgical procedures is minimized.

CAN I HAVE A RADIOGRAPHY WHILE PREGNANT?

Although the amount of radiation emitted by radiography devices used in dentistry is very low and is not at a level that threatens human health, radiography is not taken from pregnant women or those with suspected pregnancy except for an emergency medical indication and doctor's request. However, radiography can be taken if it is very necessary. Unnecessary radiographs should be avoided.
Pregnant women must wear a lead apron when entering the radiology clinic.

IS X-RAY (X-RAY) USED IN DENTISTRY RADIOLOGY HARMFUL?

The amount of radiation you will receive during a panoramic radiography is synthetic radiation, not radion producing radioactive material used from nuclear technologies. Sitting in front of a computer for 4 hours is equivalent to walking outside on a sunny day.
The lead vest, which should be worn while taking the radiograph, prevents other organs and tissues from receiving unnecessary x-rays. This precaution is a general rule of radiology.
